Photographer's Note
This picture was taken on a misty and windy day at the top of Moucherotte in Grenoble. The Hôtel du Moucherotte was built few years ago, for the olympic games, I guess, in 68. Then it was abandonned and it starts to break apart. On that particular day, in 94, the weather was so bad, that we had to enter in it, to warm a bit. The scenery was quite strange with that heater and that finger pointing on it. I did the picture while being completely frozen with a very basic camera (Konica POP) and then, it was scanned by Laurent (les picaros) few days ago.
I hope all mountain photographers of Grenoble that are on TE will like to remember this very strange place, this hotel watching the city, from the top of Moucherotte.
I reposted the picture after a bit of increase of sharpness and light.

Bonjour Géraldine,
Tout ce gel dans un immeuble! je croyais cela peut-être possible au Canada, mais pas ici, en France! Cela valait bien une photo.
Bonne soirée

hello Geraldine,
don't tell me that's ice on the walls and the heater?! incredible view, hard to believe it's France, not the North Pole. I like a lot the straigh on approach you've chosen for this shot, no need for complicate compositions here, the textures and the spooky blue light is all that is needed for a captivating shot.
stay warm :)

Hi Geraldine,
What a fascinating and apocalyptic image, looks like a scene from an ice age or a nuclear winter... I really like the way the light filters in from the side and the texture and colour of the ice are superb (I assume this is ice!). The frozen radiator is also a nice touch!
Brrr!

Salut Geraldine,
Superbe!
Pris.

This is so strange and beautiful looking. I really like the cold feel with the monochromatic color scheme. Such an unusual place! I'm glad you were able to capture it. Looking at the original version I'm not able to decide which one I like better.
