Another photo from Beynac. This photo is of the chateau chapel with a view down river.
The chateau dates from the 13th and 14th centuries and was on the front line during the 100 years war. The chapel must be from around that time or slightly alter.
You can just catch a glimpse of the village below.

Ian,
I like your composition here using the river to lead the eye past the buildings. The off center placement of the chapel works well. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has excellent sharpness.
