Photographer's Note

These are those bottles of great wines that we are both dreaming ! A wall of Monbazillac, just that !
We are in the cellar of the castle, carved into the rock to preserve the freshness, where is the best production of this vintage... Hundreds of bottles that are beautiful under the lights, here close to us ... Quickly a corkscrew!

The museum collects former instruments of vintage, a glass-cabinet containing a collection of bottles showing the evolution of the shape and color of the bottles used in Monbazillac and a fascinating exhibition on the characteristics of the local vineyards in Bergerac.
We may learn that it is thanks to the fungus Botrytis cinerea, that Monbazillac has its disctinctive liqueur-like flavour...
