Kerroc'h lighthouse, a photo from Bretagne, West

Photographer's Note

One of my favorite spots for photography in the area of Lorient : the Kerroc'h point in Ploemeur and it little lighthouse facing the isle of Groix. The lighthouse itself is not impressive at all, but it is very well exposed to sunset light, and the rocks and ponds around make it a nice subject. I took this photo a few days ago at sunset.

C'est vrai que ce phare ne paie pas de mine ŕ premičre vue, petit comme il est, mais cette belle lumičre chaude le met bien en valeur, tout comme la composition qui permet de bénéficier d'un joli reflet. La netteté est excellente sur toute l'image.

It's a rugged but attractive scenery where the white and red lighthouse makes a dramatic contrast to the surroundings. It is also nicely reflected in the small pond. It's a nicely composed photo with a fine vertical shape.

Beautiful light and a striking subject, even though the lighthouse itself is quite small. I like your use of the wide angle lens, which has given you huge front-to-back sharpness. Excellent work.

Tout semble converger vers ce phare solitaire juste illuminé par le couchant.
L'horizon est droit mais le phare semble pencher (usage du uper grand angle)

A beautiful lighthouse in warm sunlight. Your foreground is perfectly sharp and shows many fine details on the abraded rocks. The lighthouse is perfectly positioned, with its reflection. The sky in the background is also very good. An artistically composed picture.

Bonjour Olivier,

You have taken a fantastic shot of the lighthouse and shown it off to its very best advantage. The surrounding rocks and sea inlet give the lighthouse presence. The reflection is just the icing on the cake.

Bonjour Olivier,
Trčs jolie composition bien équilibrée. Le moment choisi était le bon pour mettre en scčne ce phare avec une lumičre ambiante au rendez-vous, des contrastes et un angle de vue qui donnent beaucoup de dynamisme ŕ cette photo. Les rochers de granit au premier plan ainsi que le reflet du phare contribuent ŕ la réussite de cette image. Bravo pour le cadrage et l'exposition parfaite.

Bonjour Olivier,
Une photo qui démontre combien la Bretagnr est belle ,męme en hiver.
J'aime beaucoup ton cadrage et ta mise en page.Le premier plan est trčs riche et interessant,avec ces roches et la petite retenue d'eau oů vient se mirer le phare.J'aime aussi les couleurs d'une belle fin de journée,aux tons trčs chauds au second plan,ŕ la base du phare.Le ciel magnifique apporte une belle finition ŕ l'ensemble.

J'en profite pour te souhaiter une trčs bonne année 2015,et de nombreuses prises de vvue comme celle ci ŕ nous faire partager sur TE.

love the vertical composition, its makes more of an impact this way i think.

the rocks, the reflections, the clouds, the open sky and the lighthouse itself are quite striking.
