L'Anse Rouge, a photo from Pays-de-la-Loire, West

Photographer's Note

Here is another beach of Noirmoutier island : l'Anse Rouge (Red Bay) beach. This beautiful beach is in a little creek protected from winds by the Bois de la Chaise forest. I found this beach by chance walking on the coast path from the Plage des Dames beach (see my previous shot). I find it looks like a south of France beach ! It is not as known as the Plage des Dames beach, but is has the same charm with its beach huts too and is really more quiet and so, to my opinion, more pleasant. In the background you can see a strange tower surrounding the beach. No, it is not and has never been a lighthouse ! Just a fantasy of the one who built this eccentric villa !

C'est vrai qu'avec ces pins et chęnes verts , on pourrait se croire dans un coin de Méditerranée . trčs belle vue qui donne envie d'aller se balader par lŕ bas , mais hors-saison , comme toi .

This is a great shot of this beautiful beach. The inclusion of the tower in the distance leads the eye through the scene nicely. The overhanging trees frame the scene perfectly. The lighting is great and the photo has fine sharpness and detail.
