Photographer's Note
La Rochelle the port on the Atlantic Ocean famous for its three towers: St. Nicholas, the Chain, the Lantern, which are the remains of the fortifications of the city.
Here is the turn of the lantern: Keeper and look of the city, the tower also served in jail: prison Marine from the 15th to the 16th century, then military prison from 1820 to 1879.
This function prison stretching over nearly three centuries is at the origin of some 600 graffiti, some of which are true works of art, produced by privateers British, Dutch and Spaniards.
In the foreground the earth is a work dedicated to the influence of French culture in the world through his songs, rochelle indeed proposes an annual festival "francofolies" of french-speaking songs
