Photographer's Note

Dinan is a French commune, located in the department of Cotes-d'Armor and region of Brittany.

The town of Dinan is fortified by ramparts. Strategic point for traffic between Normandy and the north coast of Brittany, Dinan is mainly built on a hill. The city dominates the 75 m Rance, which flows northward to empty into the Channel between St. Malo and Dinard. Dinan proposed long bridge over the north to cross the river Rance and its wide estuary.

The Feast of the ramparts
During a weekend and once every two years, Dinan becomes a medieval town, with its tournaments, taverns, bear his trainers. Access to the city is free for people in costume.
