LAKE of PISES is a lake of the Cévennes area in Aigoual mountain.

Visited by walkers and trout fishermen, it is a very nice relaxing space for lovers of freedom and nature. Lake area is a space of nature protection, and transhumance herds of Cevennes valleys.

_ The LAC of PISES, is an artificial lake of 13 hectares and 4 meters average depth, at 1250 m of altitude, since 1965, which belongs to the NATIONAL PARK of CEVENNES since 1981. It is fed by the brook of Pises.

_ The NATIONAL PARK of CEVENNES is a French national park covering the natural area of the Cevennes, which extends on the departments of Lozere, Gard, of Ardeche, of Aveyron of the Languedoc-Roussillon areas, the Middi-Pyrenees and the Rhone-Alpes. This park of 321380 hectares, shelters 41000 permanent residents in 117 communes, mainly stockbreeders.

DOURBIES is a french commune, located in the Gard district of the Languedoc-Roussillon area, populated of 204 Dourbiens, distributed on 59 km², that is to say 3 hab./km².

The village is on right bank of Dourbie.

_ The DOURBIE is a Cevennes river. It takes its source with the mount of Aulas, in Linguas, to 1300 m, the south of the mountain of Aigoual, in the department of Gard. It also runs in the department of Aveyron and is thrown, after 920 m of unevenness and 72 km of course through throats and valleys between "CAUSSE NOIR", black causse and "CAUSSE OF LARZAC", in Millau in the Tarn with the bridge of Cureplat to 320 m, him even tributary of the Garonne. Its irregular and seasonal course with known the minimal flow of 2,9 cubic meters a second, to reach up to 728 cubic meters a second maximum flow. Dourbie is famous for the trout fishermen.
