The parochial church Saint Romain, whose origin goes back up to the XIIIth century, was enlarged and reconstructed from 1894.

VILLEBOIS-LAVALETTE is a French municipality, situated in the department of the Charente of the region Poitou-Charentes, populated with 791 Villeboisiens in 2004, distributed on 7.2 km², that is 109.9 hab/km².

The Lords of Villebois-Lavalette are quoted from the 8th century.
