Château in morning fog, a photo from Bourgogne, Central

Photographer's Note

While we were in Burgundy we stayed in a gîte in the grounds of this château. On the first morning we woke to this foggy view of the château. In this view the château looks to be in roughly OK condition - if you think so just wait for tomorrow's posting. In the workshop is a photo taken from outside the gates. Our gîte was the right hand gate house. The small village of Serigny is on a back road between Chablis and Tonnerre.rnBoth photos are best in the large view.

Bonjour, cher Ian,
Ce château dans la brume matinale est de toute beauté, il le sera peut-ętre moins seyant lors des premiers rayons du soleil !
Il n'en demeure pas moins que la beauté et le charme d'antan sont présents (des travaux sont ŕ prévoir, mais cela impose une somme considérable, rien que pour la toiture par exemple).

The view of the gate in full sun is also very beautiful.

Hello Ian,
Nature was blurred but the photo is sharp. Even in the fog it is clear that the building is in need of some restoration, but what a fine castle it must have been. The fog has created a fine and mysterious atmosphere.

Misty atmosphere care for a nice image, certainly a castle in the fog.
Lovely old architecture with the frontage of the castle wall.
