Photographer's Note
Well, this is my last TE post. This site is dying (80 pictures published in 4 days, so at least no more comment). I spent very many good years here but it's all over now.
I started a new life on 500PIX, so if you want to follow me, check this site https://500px.com/p/gaston5simonin?view=photos.
I posted the same picture on both sites: 4 replies here, 44 on 500PIX, so....

Bye bye Claude,
I'm sorry to see you go, but of course you are right that the site is dying, even though I see slightly more photos posted than 80 in four days. But you leave with a colourful photo.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Claude!
You are right!
before becomming a member I followed Te a long time, have seen many good photos and learned a lot.But now it seems to be a family telling each other every day what fantstic photographers they are, nearly equal what motiv and quality they post. That`s why I updated my profile intro.
About your shot. It is very dynamic and reminds to the big letters "black lives matters" on New York`s streets.
Very symbolic for your last one.
I´ll have a lok at your new place, maybe something for me too
All the best for you and stay healty
Ronny

Nonetheless Claude, TE is still a unique platform, not busy as it used to be and people come and go... no need for a grandiose statement about.
Bonne chance.
I will remain loyal.

Bonjour Claude,
Tes images originales manqueront. Mais bon , tu as raison , le site est moribond.
Bonne continuation ailleurs.

Hello Claude,
Oh, this makes me sad!
We have known each other via this site for many years and become friends because of it!
I have looked at other sites but they do not seem to have the same format, the same shared information, the same camaraderie that has always been enjoyed here.
I wish you well on your new ventures and will sincerely miss you.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Salut Claude,

Hello dear friend and have a nice day
it s a pity you are leaving this site...
but you are right that this site is dying
because some of TE friends upload photos
only for points and no for comments
about the quality of the photo
without reading the useful notes...
it s a real pity indeed...
regards
I will try to follow you in the new site

Hello Claude,
I am sad that you also leave the site but I understand you well. TE is slowly dying. Yesterday it was only one page of new photos and 150 critiques. I am still here because I do not want to lose contact with friends but I am already tired and bored. You had an original gallery. But I do not know the other side that would appeal to me.
Nice picture for farewell.
Best regards Malgo

Hello Claude,
Very curiously I took a look at the site you mentioned.
The quality of the photos is clearly much better. It seems like a better site for a photographer but a big disappointment for those who are much more interested in visiting the places shown.
Maybe I should try again but I didn't find the information on the exact location or any other story on the subject. Probably enough for someone who is only interested in photography. But I did not find what I was looking for.
The comments I read on my first visit were deeply disappointing. Even more in comparison to TE.
Anyway, I certainly and sincerely wish you the best of luck,
Paul

Hello Claude,
I'm sad to read your lines. In my view the opinion of regulars here on TE (I don't want to name them to avoid any hard feelings if I miss any of them) worth more than 500 noname commentators. Anyhow, I treat your decision with respect, which a is a going with style photo!
All the best wishes,
Gy.
Best Wishes,

All the best to you and your pictures, Claude. I hope you find a new and happier ground. I'll stick around, even though I know this site/format has all but died out. There are alternatives, but none I really like, so I'll just hang on a bit more.
Thanks for your work & hope to see you again somewhere sometime.
Benny
