Afternoon on Lake Annecy, a photo from Rhone Alpes, South

Photographer's Note

How good it is to spend a lazy sunny afternoon on the shore of Lake Annecy, watching the boats go by with the rugged mountains in the background. This photo was taken in Talloires, a beautiful little town on Lake Annecy. We caught a bus from Annecy to Talloires, and then we caught a ferry back to Annecy. The ferry wharf is behind the yacht with the red and white sail.

Hello Vincent,
The mild afternoon light ove the lake brought out wonderful colors cast.
The red sail especially shown in fine contrast to the mostly green surrounding and blue hue mountaoinds on the far side.

This is a delightful and very underrated lake, almost as scenic as Lake Bled in Slovenia. Good sharpness and I like the red sails at right contrasting with the blue tones. Tfs!

All the elements of this view are in good balance. Lake, boats, that big old building and high mountains in the background. And the red sail adds splash of colour.

Hello Vincent,

You have captured a very, tranquil atmosphere with the features and composition of your photograph.
The boats, lazily using the lake, give this tranquility. In the b/g, a lovely building surrounded by vegetation, its roofs mimicking the shape of the misty b/g mountains.
It's beautiful!

Hello Vincent, this view has everything, mountains in the background, a building and jetty, natural colours of the trees, and boats filling the foreground.
I like the reflection of the boat with its red sail.

Such a lovely view of the lake. The two sailboats are well included in the foreground and the hazy silhouettes of the mountains created a perfect and impressive backdrop as well.

Beautiful place and a lovely photo. Nice to see memories of the late summer when it's great and wet outside (at least here where I am now!).

Hi Vincent,
it is a very picturesque spot indeed. The mountains look so impressive at the back, the boats add some interest in the foreground and in between we have a little island with attractive wooden architecture.

Great capture, which features some "old" and "new," with the boats in the foreground and the traditional architecture in the background. Great color and lighting; very atmospheric; it has a very appealing dream-like quality. Lovely photo.
