Photographer's Note

A profusion of flowering mimosas on the banks of the Arcachon Bay. Certainly they are winter flowers, but this pleasant bloom adorns the premises with yellow bouquets and almost gives a spring air.

Hello Jean,
I was surprised to see these photos were taken so recently. The certainly have an atmosphere of spring and not of ice cold February. The flowers have a beautiful yellow tone with fine complements of green.

It's nice to see some colorful, winter flowers. They look beautiful against the blue sky. There used to be a mimosa tree in front of my house, but it only blossomed in spring, and the blossoms were pink. This is a lovely trio of shots. Take care!

Bonjour Jean,
A good montage of flower photos, sharp and colourful and well composed. These are called mimosa, but they are not the genus Mimosa. They belong to the genus Acacia, and these ones look familiar to me because they are native to Australia. They are probably Acacia dealbata, what we call the silver wattle in Australia. They flower in winter here too, and brighten up the winter days.

Looks like Australian wattle but the mimosa leaves are different. A lovely splash of yellow contrasting with the blue sky in some images. Tfs!
