Photographer's Note

This small village, at the beautiful houses built with the limestone of the country, is, from the very start of the estival season, a very estimate place of walk.
How to resist the attraction of its small shaded streets and always very flowered?
They lead you close to the old well, on the place of the borough, or to the bridge of Souville which spans Rimarde.
The charm of Yčvre-le-Châtel is due to its simplicity and its authenticity.

Bonjour Philippe,
On retrouve bien lŕ ton goűt pour les vieilles pierres. On a envie de longer ce chemin dans ce beau décor pour s'y promener. Belle composition. J'aime bien comment la lumičre a été gérée en cadrant la façade ensoleillée.

A nice shot of a quaint small French village. I'd like to walk up that lane a seen what is around the corner where my eye is wandering. The cropping suits the subject and scene, but have you considered using the dodge tool to lighten the bottom half of the picture a bit?

bonjour Philippe, en effet cette petir=te rue a du charme avec touts les fleurs, il semblerait qu'elle est abandonnée de ses habitants par les volets clos, mais les fleurs nous disent le contraire!!

C'est la premičre fois que nous avons droit ŕ un encadrement comme celui ci. C'est réussi. L'image est trčs belle pour sa composition avec ce chemin qui part et le joli cadrage.

As usually a lovely street in a splendid village, as well as France and Flanders much streets and country sides have. The typical stones out of the region in facades make you picture so recognizable. Excellent depth a very attractive for looking, I enjoy Philippe!

You are right, who can resist that beautiful village. Very appealing to the lenses. The road invites to keep going and discover what is behind it. Very difficult shot since there is so much light on the top and so much shadow on the bottom. But, I think you got balanced the light between both. Amitiés, Gabriel

A charming and inviting view from the old village, Philippe. Quite a strong sun to deal with, and in a few areas it looks like a slight underexposing would have been good, but I do appreciate your framing in which the bending road makes a very good way of leading the viewer's eye along the pleasant details.

Les plus beaux villages de France sont des sites provilégiés pour les photographes. Quel plaisir de pouvoir photographier de belles pierres sans ętre pollué par un hideux poteau télégraphique, un affreux panneau publicitaire ou tout simplement des rues encombrées de voitures. Cette photo restitue parfaitement l'ambiance ombragée, sans luminosité artificiellement exagérée comme on le voit sur de nombreuses photos TE. Il en résulte une image vraie, toute en nuances, bref une belle photo.

Voilŕ une photo sans clocher ;o)
Les villages en plaine ne se présentant pas comme ceux de montagne, il est donc trčs difficile d'en avoir des images d'ensemble. Je comprends la difficulté pour trouver un bon angle de prise de vue.
Mais tu as fait le bon choix et tu sais élégamment présenter ce village qui, je le comprends, fait partie du club trčs fermé des plus beaux villages de France.
Mais chauvin comme je le suis, c'est Sant'Antonino qui a reçu le label du plus beau :o)

Effectivement c'est un tres beau village et la perspective de la rue avec les vieilles maisons en pierre est bien mise en valeur par les alternances d'ombres et lumieres, c'est aussi joliment fleuri. Je m'empresse d'ajouter cette photo a mon theme consacre aux plus beaux villages de France.

Good composition. There is something a bit surreal about this narrow streets. Reminds me of the town near Monet's Garden. Although in shade it is very striking. Well captured.

My dream has being living in a small village like that or outside in the country I love this place and I love your picture is so pretty the ligth over the house giveit a little touch of nostalgy but too of romanticism, it is a wonderful photo,really.

The narrow road acts as a good lead-in. You've taken the shot in shadows, and even then the details are so well depicted. The stone houses are of great interest. Excellent perspective & depth for this very good shot.
