Scene in the Parisian Métro.

Here is maybe the begining of a new era for me (and also a return to the roots). The era of the rangefinder camera (and the return to the film). I recently purchased on eBay three 35mm compact rangefinders from the 70's, two Canonet QL17 and a Minolta AL-F (this last one I haven't received yet). I've shooted a couple of rolls (of TRI-X) already and for a first intensive rangefinder experience I'm utterly crazy about those little cameras. To the point I haven't even touch my 5D since received my Canonets.

Anyway, here's one of shots I've done with one of the Canonet which has a non working lightmeter. I used this exposure chart to get the right exposure.

Hello Romain. I really like how this man is framed so much and so naturally. The framing really lends an importance to him and makes the photo quite effective.

Return to the old school, yes you are right man, you are rightQuestion: More and more people are giving-up with cd player, is the same thing will happened with digital camera?

Le cadrage ŕ travers la petite fenętre du métro est pas mal du tout, et il y a une certaine ambiance dans cette image. Amicalement, Grazyna.

Hi Romain,
This is a great shot, I love the way you have used the window to frame the man. Nice and contrasty black and white and I like the slight reflections on the glass too.
I am still a big fan of film.

Salut Romain,
A nouveau je regarde les photos dans le thčme un autre Paris. je m'arręte sur celle-ci, trčs bonne. Le noir et blanc est bie choisi. L'attitude ręveuse est bien saisie. Il y a tout un univers dans cette photo. J'aime beaucoup.

d'abord bravo pour le consours (le conours mystere venu d'ailleurs -la suisse..;-)
ensuite bravo pour cet effort de retour a la peloche..par contre le canonet ca me dit rien (peut etre est ce petit Canon?? ;-) ckoi le telemetrique...?
le cadrage est tres bon dans cette image.le 5d aurait fait au moins aussi bein, mais c sur, le feeling n'est pas le meme....
