Another impression from the magnificent Pčre Lachaise
Cemetery in Paris.

...somewhere on the way to the resting place of Jim
Morrison, which i never would have found without a map.

I added two collages in the WS-section showing some
of the gravesites and tombs of "famous" people.

WS1: Gilbert Bécaud, Jim Morrison, Marcel Proust, Michel Petrucciani.

WS2: Frédéric Chopin, Gioachino Rossini, Honoré de Balzac, Moličre.

Hello Thorsten.
This one creates a very different atmosphere from the b/w photo. The colour, especially the pink blossom, the viewpoint looking up at the curving path, suggest new life rather than death. It's a very good composition and the colour and sharpness are marvellous.
I'm sorry to say that I have seen some visitors come in by the nearest entrance to Morrison's grave, and leave straight away when they have seen it; they don't know what they have missed.

The Pere Lachaise Cemetary is a very interesting place to visit, and your picture proves it once again.
The way you've composed is very well done, with the curving path which invit us for a stroll among the graves.
The pink blossom is beautiful and adds a peaceful touch.
The fine sharpness reveals much details.

Wunderbares Blickwinkel und tolles Compo.
Der Baum in voller Bluete mitten in Graebern hat hier einen grossartigen symbolischen Wert : Anfang unde Ende des Lebens.

Hello Thorsten,
I saw cherry blossoms in Paris for the first time on TE. Petals scattered on the wet stone pavement make this scene attractive. A green sign makes a good color combination.

Good picture with a not very usual subject: cementiries.
Here you made a good work with the composition and with this vertical view.

I think this is one of the places I should visit in Paris in my next visit.

Hallo Thorsten,
hier wirkt der Frühling noch nass und zögerlich. Der Friedhof trägt zur Stimmung bei, der Blick über die Gasse mit diesen Bögen ist dabei gut gewählt.
