Photographer's Note
The Zwinger Palace has very rich Baroque decorations which offer lovely photo opportunities. I would gladly spend a whole day with my camera there. If you want to see these exact decorations in the context of the whole pavilion, look at this photo:
https://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/Germany/East/Sachsen//photo1588945.htm
PiotrF mentioned recently that the number of active TrekEarth members decreased dramatically. I wonder how many more days this website will survive. For now, just few people seem to be carrying it on its shoulders like the sculpted creatures in this photo. Far in the distance you can spot the owner of the website, looking down and clearly not helping at all.

Hi Mariusz, treknature is already shipwrecked, I hope TE don't end up in the same way. People probably took a break not being able to post new photos because they don't travel. But the faults of the owners are also many, there are many bugs and none are ever fixed. Your photographic metaphor is perfect, I hope I can bear the weight for a long time, basically on this site there is a part of our life story.Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Hello Mariusz,
Could there be also a sculpture of these somewhere in a British museum? Probably not.
Judging by the faces of the statues, they bear a very heavy burden while the angel doesn't care much about it.
An whole day with your camera in the Zwinger Palace? I get the impression that a week would not be enough.
Beautiful view upwards with the blue sky next to the sculptures.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Mariusz,
A good close up shot of the decorative Atlantes supporting the roof. Good sharpness texture and upward pov. The cherub on the fence at right seems undecided! Tfs!

Good morning Mariusz,
Fine close-up picture of the carved-plaster sculptures at the Zwinger.
Good choice to have some "sky" in bright blue on side, excellent contrast with light & shadows mingling upon the subject.
Have a nice sunday,
Ike

I like a lot this kind of details in architecture. excellent slice of the palace, probably a modern carving imitating the ones lost during the war.
yes, the site is becoming weaker, but it alive yet. I had another site (the rebels of TE created photofolia that died few months ago..)
a pity. I like a lot this site, we can see and learn lots of things, it is so well built, despite some limitations of the rules (some of these same rules threw out most of the former members). But I guess the real reason of the end of this kind of site is the lack of interest of people. today we have so many images and they became banal..
like in titanic, here we go, playing music in the deck while the boat is floating yet..
take care

Hi Mariuz,
You have an excellent angle on these extraordinary sculptures. Direction of light is just right for showing sculpted forms clearly. Blue sky is very nice background.

Hi Mariusz,
An excellent close-up of some the baroque extravagance on this palace. I like the inclusion of the little statue at the bottom right, looking down at us.
I agree that TrekEarth has several features that do not work any more. I have tried updating my profile several times, but nothing happens. But having a small number of members means that it is easier to get to know these members. There are still many photos being posted - too many for me to look at every one.

Hello Mariusz,
A very good close-up of the rich and elaborate details of the sculptures at Zwinger Palace. Superb sharpness and clarity in this bright sunlight. The warm hue makes a good contrast with the blue sky.

Hello Mariusz.
An excellent composition with this detail of some of the sculptures that adorn the Zwinger Palace, it is a precious work of the Baroque.
A magnificent color, which gives the image a lot of chromatic richness.
Excellent clarity and sharpness.
Well done. I like it.
You have a good day.
Very best regards.
Luis.
