Photographer's Note

It's a bit of a hectic time here, not much time to critique or respond to your critiques (for which I apologize), but here's another post from our German Rundfahrt. After Dresden we travelled west, now nearing the end of our trip.

---

LEIPZIG is a big, big city and not easily liked. It has plenty of rough edges, with the actual center being quite small. A city that takes time to get to know and appreciate, perhaps more than we spent there, though we did enjoy it, no worry there.

It is a must-visit for music fans for its connection to J.S. Bach and, like almost all German cities, there is another really good art museum waiting for your visit.

THIS PICTURE is an empty corner at the Museum der Blidende Künste. Quite strange and intriguing, I found. For those who might be worried: we did enjoy the art on show too, especially the old Cranach paintings, a painter we really fell in love with on our trip.

WORKSHOP contains a detail from a Cranach painting on show here in Leipzig, as an example.
