Photographer's Note

"Haus Deiters". Built between 1900-1901 by Jugendstil architects Joseph Maria Olbrich (1867–1908) ordered by Wilhelm Deiters. It is build on an area of 8.86m x 9.5m. (Adress: Mathildenhöhweg 2)

House Deiters was not destroyed durch WWII, but numerous changes were done. 1914 the room layout changed, later were added cultivations and a garage. 1983 it was changed to a two-family house. 1986-88 acquired by the city of Darmstadt, it was put back the original state of 1901. Today the building is the seat of institute for Poland and laboratory of the "Civilization Academy German Work Federation" (Zivilisation Akademie Deutscher Werkbund).
