Photographer's Note
Known as Port Munster, a river port city of Münster in Westphalia . It was founded in 1899 and opened branches from the Dortmund-Ems Canal.
The harbor from the start was designed mainly on imports. In World War II it was heavily damaged, but 1946 the port re-opened in order to remove much needed building materials for the reconstruction of the city. Today, the port has become almost meaningless as a trade hub, instead mostly on the north bank of cultural and gastronomic establishments are located, which make up the so-called Kreativkai.
