Photographer's Note

The fabulous remains of Roman Empire on German ground.. dated back to the fourth century BCE - Colonia Ulpia Traiana - now the archeological park in Xanten. However most of the buldings are reconstructed they give remarkable impression of the look of Roman Colonies far away from Rome.. This was the second biggest city in Germania Inferior. The first at that time was Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium - present city of Cologne (Koln).
