I caught this gentleman, disguised like a painter, on the local carnival parade. Getting rid of the navy uniform behind him was just impossible in the spectator crowd.

Well done, Sven!
I have just critiqued Claude's photograph and then I come upon this one!
The beret is the symbol of the Frenchman and here, of course, a French painter.
I like that you have details of other characters around, conveying the carnival mood and creating a good sense of depth.
Perhaps you could have sharpened the photograph just a little but otherwise, I love it!

Hello Sven,

I thought that this is the same man as in the photo by Claude!
The guy looks like Salvador Dali. Excellent scene from the carnival parade.
