When I took this on last Sunday, Bavarian beer gardens had reopened a few days before, and I had the pleasure to be sitting in the local one. Access was restricted to one family per table, people were seated by the staff and tables disinfected when one party had left. But this did not reduce the fun to have an open air beer!
The indoor parts of restaurants were about to open on Monday."

Thats what I wrote exactly one year ago when the first covid wave was flattening out

Meanwhile, we had much higher waves nr. 2 and 3.
However, the social reason was the same (visiting our elder son on the occasion of his birthday), and the situation was the same: re-opened beergardens without testing as long as you came as one common household.

It was our first trip since September 2020.
