Photographer's Note
This is the part of my home town most severely stricken by the flood. While other streets of the city only had water in their basements and to a smaller extent in their first floors, you can see from the brownish markings on the garage that water reached more than 2 m above street level which means that nobody would have been able to stand here. The site is 350 m off the normal bank of Ahr river.
Most of the waste has already been removed, the owners are waiting for their houses to dry while living in emergency accommodations or having been taken up by friends or relatives.
The situation is much worse upstream where there is not much infrastructure left. The German Army employs bridge-laying tanks! I was not able to reach that area yet.
A lot of money will be required. Donations are welcome, accounts are listed on the homepage of southwest Germany's broadcasting station SWR: www.swr.de (only in German).
To be continued...

Hello Sven!
What can be said about this? I wouldn't be happy if I lived there.
It is true that I do not like to live in Hungary at the moment. Not even without a flood.
Best regards
Csaba

Hi Sven, things are moving quickly to fix the disaster, luckily the good weather is back which helps to clean up and dry the houses, the ones that are left, another very interesting and very good quality photo. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello,
A very sad image after the natural disaster. We had floods here too, but on a smaller scale. Let's hope this will never happen again and the rebuilding operations will take place quickly.

Hello Sven,
I hope that your house was not so severely stricken with the flood. I saw some reports on TV and it looks horrible. Here it is Ahr river. What about the Rhine?
The damage is big and to remove the consequences need a lot of money and work, but the most tragic is the loss of people.
All the best in this difficult time MAlgo
