Photographer's Note
In my region for more than 2000 years iron ore is mined and iron is processed. The professions of miner and steelworker were very reputable for centuries.
In the sixties of the last century the last mine was closed among other things because of the worldwide competition of ore with a higher content of iron.
Still today there's one of the biggest German steelworks in my city, Siegen.
In 1902 two monuments were created which still today remind people of these professions which were guarantors of an reliable living and prosperity.
My picture shows the monument of the steelworker. The miner's monument you can see in the workshop.
I photographed the two at night - in both professions night shifts were common ...
They are affectionately named Henner (the miner) and Frieder, in "proper" German Heinrich (Henry) and Friederich (Frederic).
You can seen the monuments in the day here.

Hi Frank.
I like the subject here but, I think you could have done better... The lights in the bottom corner don't feel right to me and seems to me that the statue is a little blured (think you didn't used a tripod).
It's my opinion, I think you could have done much better here.
I'm gonna post a workshop just to give another look to it, hope you like it!
Best regards,
Márcio Costa

Nice statue and very intersting framing. Initially, I thought this was B&W but with the small traces of green on the bronze, I sse this is color. I do not mind the very strong shadows and the near black background, they really make the image, but I believe you would have achieved a more dramatic effect with more sharpness, since the contrast would have been even stronger.
All the best,
Emmanuel
