City of White and Blue, a photo from Kyklades, South Aegean

Photographer's Note

Continuing with my Greek Islands series here's another one taken in Oia, Santorini Island.

This is a central street in Oia. Despite this shot, it is very alive and is always full of people. It actually took me 3 days and many attempts to come across a long enough break in the crowds to snap just a single shot without any people on it.

Even though the town is pretty close to picture-perfect, I did have to edit some electricity cables and wires from this shot using Photoshop. For points on how to do that, check out the workshop I've created for my Mykonos Island image here: http://www.trekearth.com/workshops/820515/

Hi Anna, beautiful and very familiar picture from Kyklades. I like how you framed it with the white border. Also very nicely composed and very sharp. Makes me already dreaming of summer vacations.

Nice arrangement of lines and angles. I know it gets very busy in those small streets in the summer.

Colors and sharpness are superb.

your point of view and descriptive photo is really good. on the other hand, just a matter of preference but you could prefer another color in frame as the whole area is white already.
