Photographer's Note

Ios Mylopotas or Mylopotamos is the touristy beach resort of Ios Greece, 3 kilometres south of Hora. It is the most popular place of Ios and attracts thousands of visitors every summer. Every thing in Mylopotas is made to fulfil the needs of tourists and to offer great entertainment. This summer settlement has a long golden beach with emerald waters where lively beach bars, restaurants, plenty of sea sports and more are gathered. Night life there is incredible.

Fantastic summer photo! Oh, I can feel the hot air!
The composition is very good: the wooden carpet, the lines on it and the umbrellas all lead the eye to the sea. The colours and the contrast are also great!

Γιώργο καλημέρα,
ωραία καλοκαιρινή φωτοφραφία με προοπτική και βάθος πεδίου που δημιουργείται απο τον ξύλινο διάδρομο επάνω στην άμμο. Οι ομπρέλες δεξια και αριστερά ενισχύουν την αίσθηση αυτή.Μου αρέσουν επίσης τα χρώματα και το φως.

Very good use of the perspective of the walkway to lead the eye into the scene. The empty sunbeds and the umbrellas on each side provide a wonderful symmetry. The only thing lacking is a note. I know some people refuse to critique a post without a note.

Μετα απο πολυ καιρο εμφανιστηκα ξανα στο ΤΕ, αλλα αυτη τη φορα απο τα Γιαννενα.
Για μια ακομα φορα μου θύμισες τις διακοπες στην Ιο.

This one is an attractive way towards the sea with a good perspective and great depth of image. The saturation of the colors works very well and gives more graphical interest to this beautiful landscape, under a magnificent light.

hi george,
during these times of wintry days, i dream of something this warm. excellent contrasting colors of FG white sands and BG dark blue sea and cloudless lightblue/grey sky, enticing for a big plunge, and so what else to ask? a bottle of beer or two, you bet!
