Photographer's Note

this painting has the colours of the dreams...the colours of the fairy tales...inspired by them i wrote a fairy tale...don't judge it strictly because i'm not a fairy tale writer...
I'd like to dedicated it to all of you who believe in them!!!

Μια φορά κι έναν καιρό σ ένα δάσος μακρινό ζούσε ένας σκίουρος.
Είχε ένα μικρό σπιτάκι στην κουφάλα ενός δέντρου και μια μικρή αυλήτόσο δα μικρή
Κάθε πρωί πήγαινε βόλτα στο δάσος να μαζέψει καρπούς και κάθε βράδυ, πριν κοιμηθεί, έβλεπε τ αστέρια και αποκοιμιόταν.
Είχε έναν φίλο πολύ καλό που έμενε στο ποτάμι.
Ο φίλος του ήταν ο βάτραχος.
Τον έλεγε σοφό γιατί είχε ταξιδέψει πάνω σε ένα νούφαρο μέχρι την άλλη πλευρά του ποταμού.
Ο σκίουρος δεν μπορούσε να ταξιδέψει πάνω στο νούφαρο.
Προσπάθησε αλλά το νούφαρο δεν είχε δύναμη να τον κρατήσει και όλο γλιστρούσε στο νερό.
Ένα βράδυ που ο βάτραχος έλεγε ιστορίες για την ομορφιά που συνάντησε στην άλλη όχθη η επιθυμία του σκίουρου να ταξιδέψει εκεί μεγάλωσε τόσο που ζήτησε στο φίλο του να σκεφτούν έναν τρόπο για να κάνουν μαζί το ταξίδι αυτό.
Σκέφτηκαν λοιπόν να φτιάξουν μια μικρή σχεδία από ξύλα το αμέσως επόμενο πρωί !
Ήταν τόσο ενθουσιασμένοι με την ιδέα αυτή που συζητώντας το αποκοιμήθηκαν στις όχθες του ποταμού
Το ξημέρωμα όταν οι πρώτες αχτίδες του ήλιου ανέτειλαν ξύπνησαν όλο χαρά και κέφι.
Από το τραγούδι τους ξύπνησε και η λιβελούλα που είχε αποκοιμηθεί στο νούφαρο
Μάζεψαν ξύλα λεπτά που να έχουν αντοχή σαν αυτά που έφτιαχναν τις σφεντόνες και στρώθηκαν στη δουλειά. Μέχρι το σούρουπο η σχεδία είχε τελειώσει.
Η χαρά τους αλλά και η αγωνία τους δεν περιγράφονταν, ανυπομονούσαν να έρθει το ξημέρωμα να φύγουν για το μεγάλο ταξίδι
Όταν το άλλο πρωί ο σκίουρος ξύπνησε είδε ότι δεν ήταν στις όχθες του ποταμού αλλά στο κρεβάτι του και δίπλα του δεν βρισκόταν ο βάτραχος αλλά ένα βιβλίο με παραμύθια. Έτρεξε αμέσως έξω, ο ήλιος ήταν δυνατός!
Στάθηκε με μάτια ορθάνοιχτα και κατάλαβε ότι ονειρεύτηκε ένα παραμύθιγέλασε στον ήλιο και είπε καλημέρα!

This one is wonderful. I love the hues of colors and your choice of composition. For me, who can't understand the meaning of your fairy tale in greek, I imagine this is the return of the spring, with a cascade, flowers and butterflies.

Salut Georgia,
J'aime beaucoup ce travail sur le bois. C'est trčs délicat. Cela me fait un peu penser ŕ des peintures japonaises. Les liaisons entre les couleurs sont trčs douces. Je pars travailler, alors je n'ai pas le temps de lire ton conte, il faut que je prenne le dictionnaire (il y a des mots que je ne comprends pas), mais je vais le lire ce week end, merci, c'est un trčs bon entraînement pour moi!

Hello Georgia,

There is a suggestion of a triptych in this image, although that might have worked better in a horizontal format. But the colors and resolution are super. It is a well rendered image of a skillfully created rustic painting. Do I get the sense that this is one of your paintings? If so, I had presented a ink drawing a couple of years ago, Via Dolorosa, which somehow survived the editors.
