Photographer's Note
It was a dark and stormy night :-)
As I was waiting for my bus in the shelter, I wanted to make an atmospheric shot, for the scene looked Turneresque and beautiful to me. People were running by with large black umbrellas that offered little shelter, while the statue of Prince St. Imre, (Emeric/Americus, after whom Amerigo Vespucci was also baptised), the eleventh-century son of Stephen, the first king of Hungary, was brightly lit against the black sky.

So, you've been to the heim, how long is it?
Very evocative inventive take on this scene. You cetainly achieved your Turneresque intentions here.

Hi Sasa
This is indeed reminiscent of Turner, with the golden hues and smudged effect of the rain. Interesting that after looking at it for a while I can make out more and more detail of what is behind. Interesting idea, well executed to give an excellent result!

You have managed to capture the atmosphere quite well here Sarolta, thanks to the street lighting and just managing to make out the umbrellas in the shot.

Hi Sasa.

A fascinating impressionistic frame, Sasa, the color is beautiful, the timing superb!
[You might like to check out a similar composition but a very different result I put up recently. Amazing what color can do!]

Thats really beautiful Sarolta. To me it seems it has a very sleepy atmosphere to it- a nighttime mix of gold and black. I love the scratches on the window mixed in with the rain. Good work.

Good photo that should be listed in Artworks than in Daily Life.
Compliments.

Geez, thanks for this note!!! Sure we would never guess what hides behind the bus shelter without it. I very much like your point of view for this atmospheric shot as you say. Extremely well done. Every detail (now that I know them) is perfectly positionned in the frame and the color / light are so warm it feels like a burning scene.

This is way out there in terms of beauty, artistic merit, golden coppery tones and an Art-Nuveay (I'm thinking Klimk but that's not the right name, you woul know...)
One of the best rain shots ever.
HUGE barvo from a rainy Edo,

Hello Sarolta,
It seems the frame is set to fire, that really matches with your note "dark and stormy night". Excellent Graphic (Nothing new in your gallery). Amazing colors.

Hi Sarolta,
saw this shot yeterday but had no time to really participate on TE but I had to come back and tell you that the effect of the orange light through the rain drops is superb. Not only bautiful but also really abstract and a great take on a rainy day. Its really nice that you didnt waste any time and shot photos even in the rain.

Something mysterious is in this photo, I like it. It shows only the rain during the night time and there's no nedd to focus on anhything else. Interesting.

Hi Sasa,
what a strange and mysterious view, I really like it !
The warm tones are excellent as the water drops on the window.
Maybe if you shot 1 sec before, the guy with the unmbrella would be placed better within the frame.
Anyway, I like this shot.

Nice one once again ! I think I wouldn't have understood the subjects in your picture if I haden't read the note :) I've been looking for the black umbrellas a few seconds ! The tones and colors are beautiful and I love the idea of taking such a risky photo.

Sasa, a very sensual -literally feeling the rain and the cold!- piece of art. Great colors, and texture of the rain. And wonderful city scene, full of glory and life at the same time. Love it!! --amz
