Photographer's Note

Most of my time in Iceland was under clouds, but when the light did shine, it was magical. On the first day, it turned a cat into an arctic fox, a fire hydrant into a work of art and a ship into a dream.

When I returned to the harbour a week later, this ship was gone without a trace, probably back out to sea, but it is somehow poetic for those first moments on my own in Icelandic light, which I saw so little of, but remember it was unreal enough to never have existed.
