Photographer's Note

This is the first photo of my Veiđivötn theme.

The name "Veiđivötn" refers to an area in the Southern Highlands where there are many lakes and is the meaning of the word actually "The Fishing Lakes". It's a gem of nature, where you'll find more types of birds than in most places of the country, the scenery is between being volcanic, mossy lakeland and black sandy desert with sand dunes.

This particular picture is from the main area, where the fishing cabins are located. The nearest lake is Tjaldvatn, or "Camp Lake".

great view! I like the constrat and saturation used. The point of view is excellent, showing the lake, the small houses and the background mountains. Everything well placed on the scene. Well done!
