Hello Anellise,

Very nice photo with many details and colors. I like the vapor, the rain on the water and the structure of the earth increase by the opposition of the blue color of the water and the red ones of the earth.
I am more and more convince I will have to go in Iceland to take pictures.
Thanks to have share this one.

Wonderful view of Iceland's geothermal action. Steam, water pool, reddish and brownish ground are are all both beatiful and amazing.
Good close viewpoint, probably as close as you dared to get.

These geothermal features always seem to produce these stunning colors and textures .. well captured by you .. the blues and oranges are striking .. there are some wonderful parallels betweent the near and far rock.

Buna, Any!

A superb picture but you couldn't have picked a worse frame. A very colourful landscape, a message of hope and you frame it in black, a thick ugly black frame around all this color? Why did you choose black?... and why so much of it? Off... I can't talk about the picture because of the bad frame.

The picture itself is stunning but it's a bit too tight. I would've gotten the whole puddle of water in or if it was too long just get a little more of it and place it in the bottom left corner on the diagonal. I would've left out a little bit on the right side of the picture such that the steam would not be placed dead center. The 50:50 split on the vertical appears OK.

So after the Mars photo a few days ago you came now with a Venus photo, right?.... I guess it still looks rusty, but that steam suggests more a Venus atmosphear than a Mars landscape. Man... if it weren't for that black frame, despite the composition issues I pointed out I probably would've picked it as a favorite. Instead, just one point. Sorry!

Les couleurs de cette scčne révčlent des activités géologiques particuličres.
L'Islande restera vraiment la pays d'oů il est possible d'étudier le centre, le ventre de notre plančte et tu as une chance immense d'y habiter, de pouvoir le parcourir et de nous faire partager des photos toujours trčs jolies.

I never managed to get many good shots in Iceland all that time ago, it was raining and raining and yes you have guessed raining.
But here you have captured a sight that I could not, an excellant shot of the geothermal activity and nice earthy colours

This is simply excellent, how you managed to obtain this colors, the contrast between the warm red-brown of the earth and the gray-blue of the water, the composition with two clear plans, one horizontal one almost vertical, and of course the textures.

This is just beautiful and creative. The colors and the light here are superb, making it look real dramatic. The smokes and the shape of the water block there are important element helping to create a sense of another planet. A very well done image.
