This one is taken from a mountain when leaving Veiđivötn. This rock looks like a turtle when seen from below.

Veiđivötn has always (and still is) off the regular tourist trail. It has no hiking trails but what it does have is a small campsite and loads of rough car trails criss-crossing between lakes, where people usually need to cross small rivers, none of them very big though. As long as the car is 4x4 (can be a small Subaru, even), you'll get along but the roads are truly rough and some hills are really steep, so watch the hills you decide to drive down; consider that you actually have to be able to get up again!
