Enjoy Guinness sensibly, a photo from Wicklow, South

Photographer's Note

As promised, I have come back to the Guinness lake (Lough Tay). My previous upload was from a different point of view. This POV seems more spectacular as you are able to see the whole lake.

I have to correct my previous statement: the Guinness Estate is indeed accessible for walkers, however you cannot access this lake itself but you can walk to another lake, which is smaller and couple of miles further.
So do not actually expect that you will be able to taste the Guinness straight from this lake. This is actually understandable. If the access to the source of Guinness was free, all Irish pubs would be empty and the whole country would gather around the lake and stay there forever forgetting about their jobs, and other aspects of their lives.

This point of view gives you a better insight into the artificial white sand beach which was created at one end of the lake supposedly to resemble the foam on the pint of Guinness and consequently for the whole lake to resemble the pint of Guinness.

After that "copy-and-paste" critique by A., here's a "real" one... ;o)
Awesome atmospheric shot. Those dramatic clouds are almost unreal! Great colours - they look very natural and not oversaturated as in some pictures. Great choice of vertical framing, superb composition and DOF.
Wonderful job - makes me want to go and visit Ireland right away!

Another impressive photo from this beautiful lake, although, usually horizontal frames, work better for landscape photography, I think that, in this case the vertical frame is more impressive, mainly because of the fantastic sky! Great composition, excellent light managment, beautiful colours! Congratulations!

Czesc Mariusz,
No to ja sie powtorze i napisze, ze swietna robota. Bez HDRu niebo wygladaloby jak jedna wypalona plama. Ladnie zlozone i estetycznie wykonane. Well done! Dosc przestrzennie jak na pionowy kadr. Z reguly nie przepadam za pionem i uzywam wylacznie jak musze, ale ten mi sie bardzo podoba.

czesc Mariusz,
widoczek jest naprawde sectacular jak to sie mowi. Pieknie, szeroko z dobrymi kolorkami no i oczywiscie fantastyczne jeziorko ktore jest zreszta glownym tematem. Co do szczegolw technicznych hdra sie nie wypowiadam, bo sie nie znam. Jednak mysle, ze ND grad tez dal by rade tylko nie uzyskal bys takiej kolorystyki. Ladna praca.

This is indeed a great location. Would love to be down there photographing this lake. And that small stream of water on the right also looks promising. Your composition is great and so is your light management. Usually I don't like HDR, but here you used it very wisely.

Lubie takie miejsca i krajobrazy, Mariuszu. Ladna kompozycja i gra swiatel z cieniami. Jezioro troche przypomina mi Morskie Oko. Dobry efekt HDR (przy 3 ekspozycjach proponuje skok 1,67).

Excellent travail sur cette photo. Le HDR a révélé tous les détails restés cachés par le contre-jour. Ce lac fait penser ŕ un verre de bičre géant au milieu de la nature.

This is a truly impressive shot of the lake, especially thanks to that very dramatic sky.
Attractive presentation in the vertical format whereby land and sky get about as much space assigned and with the blue hole in the clouds in the upper part and the circular looking lake in the lower portion.
