Photographer's Note

The quality of this picture is terrible, I know. It was taken with a crummy throwaway camera and I had to get it scanned at C V S (due to a lack of my scanner) which explains the grey spots up at the top of the photograph.
Putting that aside, this picture is so special to me that I wanted to share it with everyone. It was taken in Sardinia's glitzy Costa Smeralda beaches, half underwater half above, without any control since a yacht had just passed by and shaken up the water. I love the effect and am really upset that it lost so much of its quality in the scanning process.
Costa Smeralda is a beautiful place but terribly overhyped. tycoons, actors, kings, sheiks, prime ministers and soccer players go there during the three months of the summer, ruining the wild beauty of the region and turning it into a media circus. Its beach was the least beautiful of all the ones i'd been to up in northern sardinia (but still beautiful nonetheless) but anyone who loves sailboats and yachts should definitely go there just to see the spectacular models parked out in the sea pretty much everywhere in this area.
