Photographer's Note
To get a picture of this charming square in the center of Taormina without any tourists you have to get up with the sun.
The life of the town centres around this square which is situated in the middle of the mainstreet, Corso Umberto.
Piazza IX Aprile, with its characteristic black and white paving, affords a breathtaking view of the azure Ionian Sea and of the Mount Etna.
On the other side of the square stands the former Gothic St. Augustine's Church and the Seventeenth Century Church of St. Joseph overlooks the piazza from the top of a flight of steps.
The square also leads to the oldest part of Taormina through the Porta Di Mezzo upon which stands the Clock Tower.

Hi MAria
A very nice piazza and a good timimg at the blue hour, pity about the leaning verticals due to the wide angle, you could take some overlapping vertical photos and stitch them to reduce this problem
Have a nice day jY

Hello dear Maria
What a fantastic photo !
Color balance / contrast and framework are marvelous.
Very vivid color and distortion at each edge by wide focus lens are very effective and comfortable.
Congratulation on your good job !
Thanks for sharing and best regards,
Takero
