Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore. A beuaitufl Renaissance work of art which impresses from all angles. A colossus in the middle of Florence, an impressive lot of art and culture. This picture was taken from the top of the steel, after climbing over 400 steps. It was worth it. Una vista da non dimenticare piů.

Captured the mighty dome from the height of the Campanile di Giotto, Fabiano, I have a similar picture but from the street level.
I was too lazy to climb 400 steps there, but you gad the time and will, for this beautiful photo. Well done job.

Thats right, an attractive dome with graphical effect, nicely captured against the blue sky, I think that I would climb the 400 steps too to take a photo :)

Along with the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo must be the most photographed building in Florence! It is utterly iconic!
I like your viewpoint which creates a good sense of perspective from the reducing, circular windows and leads purposefully to the spectacular dome.
A lovely composition and clear, sharp exposure.

Me gusta la diagonal del edificio que se funde con la bonita y elegante geometría de la cúpula, con el cielo como fondo.

Hi Fabiano,
I have been to few cities in Italy but not to Florence yet so I am very curious to see it in person. For now I learn about it from photos of other people like this one here.
The dome is quite impressive indeed and it looks quite interesting from this angle being elevated but not at the top.
I definitely have to climb the tower although 400 steps seem a bit scary.

Your high viewpoint has given you a wonderfully strong perspective on this magnificent cathedral and your composition is perfect with Brunelleschi's beautiful dome perfectly placed in the frame and dominating the whole image most impressively. And beyond we have a glimpse of the distant view of roof tops and hills, all beneath a glorious sky.
