Photographer's Note
being young and small, it all looks so big...
Tokyo is, what New York was, and New york is what Rome was 1000 years or more ago...
and the boboli gardens in Florence were, what Versailles is, and versailles blah blah blah...
to big, to immense, but impressive and beautiful

Momma’s gonna check out all your boyfriends for you.
Momma won’t let anyone dirty get through.
Momma’s gonna wait up until you get in.
Momma will always find out where you’ve been.
Momma’s gonna keep baby healthy and clean.
Oooo babe.
Oooo babe.
Ooo babe, you’ll always be baby to me."

Poetica, dolce, essenziale. Direi che sei pronto per un figlio tutto tuo: a little Jorrit.

Nice job of using receding lines to creat a scene. I think this is a really well composed scene, but I do fine it a little too contrasty. Perhaps you could get there during better lighting conditions? Nice shot.

You can thank your lens, Jorrit, the bokeh is so impressive and the depth of field so limited, the whole scene looks like a scale model...a garden alley for a doll house...
Can you confess now that you spent all your time away from TrekEarth building doll houses and petting your kitty while reading him fairy tales.
Ok, you can go now and play hopscotch, be sure to comb your curls and put a pink ribbon. Please come back before tea and scones are served, auntie Gal will be waiting for you too...

I'm so proud of you, my sweet baby. Come, sit on auntie's lap and tell her about all those nightmares with latex underware you have been going through.
Tuscany has been good to your distorted mind, and it can be seen through these virtual scenes which only took place in your imagnination. That's what I like in your photographs: they're not real, but only an echoe of the fairy world where you live (or should I say echoe of your perverted blond curles?).
Good DOF little Jorrit....

I don't envy the special relationship you seem to have with Luko and Gal;-) but I do envy you for taking this image, love the mood of it, people walking in the tunnel type situation, be it concrete or trees, aren't that unusual, but how you present it here with great light, mom and lil girl, bw and shallow dof, makes the image quite special.

Lovely tunnel, and the black & white choice fits your note very much. I agree about your DOF well fitting here as well, since it gives us not only this beautiful bokeh to look at, but also the fairytale like atmosphere. Very nice work here!
regards,
Linas
