Castello di San Salvatore
La sua costruzione inizia nel 1323 ad opera di Rambaldo VIII di Collalto e finisce con il suo successore Schenella V. Con la sua doppia cinta muraria, copre un'area di 32.000 m2. Venne progressivamente abbellito e ingrandito e vi fu inserito il seicentesco "palazzo Odoardo". Andň quasi interamente distrutto tra il 1917 e il 1918 in seguito alla rotta di Caporetto: l'artiglieria italiana lo bombardň pesantemente, causando anche la distruzione di molte delle opere d'arte custodite.

Castle of San Salvatore, begun in 1323 by Rambaldo III di Collalto and finished by his successor Schenella V. It has a double line of wall, enclosing an area of 32,000 m2. It was later enlarged and embellished, receiving the 17th century Palazzo Odoardo. It was nearly destroyed in the course of World War I by the Italian artillery, after the route of Caporetto.

I'm used to see this kind of landscape surrounded by a see of green, but to be honest it looks just fine during winter too! Lovely pastel tones, good subject and a great lot of geommetry! All in all, a fine winter lanscape...you can almost feel the warm fenruary-sunshines.

Hi Renzo,

Great contrast with those cold snow peaks in the background and the warm foreground were the sun shines on the grassland and on the old castle.
Very nice in the composition, a very inviting and interesting location, i like this a lot.

What a fascinating contrast between these old walls and the snowy mountains in the background. This view really is beautiful and I like all these details one can detect here. A really wonderful and not everyday picture ...

This is a beautifully composed shot. I like the contrasts you have presented here with the green foreground and the snow covered background. The angled lighting works well here providing warm colors on the stones along with deep shadows. The colors are fine with nice sharpness and detail.

i 3 piani di questa immagine si sovrappongono ed armonizzano in maniera splendida: sembrano 3 foto in una! Le dolci geometrie del vigneto e degli ulivi, la fantastica architettura del Castello di S. Salvatore, le morbide curve della montagna innevata. Luce laterale quasi radente. Un capolavoro!

il castello e' bellissimo con ai piedi i vigneti,i toni di colore molto caldi e una bella luce, lo sfondo poi e' unico con queste montagne innevate.

Trčs beau paysage associant la douceur et la rigueur avec cette judicieuse opposition aux cîmes enneigées.
Trčs fort symbole de puissabce de cette tour, plus haute que les montagnes, point d'accroche principal de la scčne.

Anche quando ti cimenti nelle cartoline non sono in molti ad avvicinarsi al tuo stile.
La chiave di volta sono le groppe innevate che fanno da magico sfondo a queste architetture fuori dal tempo.

Bellissima immagine, con le montagne talmente gonfie di neve che sembrano quasi toccare gli edifici. Un insieme architettonico cosě complesso,unico eppure estremamente diversificato. Potrei scrivere almeno dieci storie, ambientante in quell'affascinante luogo. Te le risparmio tutte. Okay, Renzo?

Hi Renzo,
I guess those untouched snowfields are a result of recent snowstorms. They show so clearly on crisp winter weather. And those buildings are rich with details. I especially like that tower. Side/backlight creates nice contrasts.

Che meraviglioso panorama hai catturato Renzo...comlimenti, uno scatto un po' da wishlist, che manca da un po'.
Le montagne gonfie di neve del background e il cocktail di luci/ombre/coloricaldi esalta in gran misura questa tua inconsueta composizione. Bella la torre stile yin-yang!

Impossibile non fare un plauso al fotografo che ha immortalato cosě suggestivamente il castello di Susegana. Immagine di rara bellezza, hai giustamente approfittato dello sfondo completamente innevato, cosa inusuale negli ultimi anni. Se proprio devo fare un appunto, lo faccio alla cornice, per me troppo grande. Una cornice piů discreta avrebbe ingrandito l'immagine a beneficio e goduria di chi ammira la foto. Ma č giusto un parere personalissimo.

bellissima questa foto, da mozzafiato, giŕ il complesso architettonico č di un'armonia incredibile, poi ci sono anche le morbidissime montagne innevate che fanno da sfondo e che attraverso la zoomata (immagino) paiono ancora piů vicine... wonderful!
