Here is my first post for a long time! This picture for me sums up a wonderful week in Venice. Every where I walked I was constantly struck by the canals, and the beauty of the water which you wont see anywhere else in the world. Its truly unique.

I was amazed at the distortions in these reflections.

Hello David,
Great composition - and very abstract. The strong blue shape is a nice contrast with the browns and accentuated by the vertical format. You have a very good portfolio - just found it.

It certainly is a fascinating abstract image, and the vertical format works really well. I'm guessing the the browns are the reflections of buildings and the blue is presumably one of the mooring poles. Am I right?

this is a very nice abstract -very painterly-a waork of art.Interesting colours and satisfying shapes in pleasing combination.I think it says something about your creativity that you have chosen to photograph something of the essence of Venice, rather than the more obvious subject.

Interesting observation, captured just in right time made this very impressive, abstract picture. It looks almost like a part of unknown Dali's artwork.
