Photographer's Note
Notice the row boat kept in the front patio of this home. Most of the villages in Cinque Terre do not allow automobiles... residents travel in their small boats along the coast to one of the five other villages, or walk.
I left the cat in the photo because, to me, he demonstrates the relaxed, slower pace of this charming area. Our experience with the people here was simply delightful. Neighbors sat together, on one of many benches in the village, to chat for hours. They were very warm to us as tourists as well, joining our dinner table at the restaurant and working really hard to use English with us. They treated us to their special "drink", and shared their history. I can't wait to return someday.
Post-processing: Unfortunately, I found that ALL of my slides taken on my 1996 Europe trip have faded. I am in the process of scanning them all and trying to restore them to their original "glory". I used color adjustments, contrast levels, USM, Neat Image.

Hi, DOF (Depth Of Field) is doing a great job, the image is sharp almost all the way and it's good because there r many interesting details.
