A beutiful rendition of the image the solid base of the shadowed walls really launches the fantastic shapes created by the windows....it is an image with depth and enough shadow details to entice the eye to probe deeper....very nicely balanced.

Ciao Lisa,
This another photo of the Galleria Umberto is also gorgeous. Fantastic grafismo, wonderful POV. Were you lying on the floor just under the dome? Haha, I would like to see this scene! Incredible depth.

love this one Lisa
the depth is staggering and the geometric shapes are picked out well against the differing lighting.
i can just imagine you lying on the floor taking this one. Been there done that ;-)
Did a wee workshop to reduce the suns effect on the right hand side of the image it was pulling my eye over too much to the right
hope you like
cheers

Hello Lisa,
A splendid symmetrical composition of this wonderful roof, which is reminiscent of a spider's web. The detail is quite fascinating. There is some over exposure on the right, but nothing major and it certainly doesn't spoil our overall enjoyment of the image. Hope you had an enjoyable Christmas. Still having problems with the back and having to keep on with the painkillers. Hopefully, all will come right in the end.

Ciao Lisa,
TFS!

This wide angle lens gives very good result. The angle you took is perfect . The graphism is spectacular. I would be very proud to have taken the same.

Howdy Lisa,
Glad you went the extra prone position to create this appealing architectural kaleidoscope of curves and lines and classical windows, all in fine detail and nicely cropped.
Best wishes for the New Year, cheers,

Lisa,
Beautiful composition that shows lines and forms. This image certainly works in color but I see you also have a B&W version that is likewise excellent.
Nice Job.

Hey Lisa
this one is beautiful, you're so lucky, and i'm so jealous! this one is a keeper.
funny how a photo can have so much depth and height, this shot has tremendous amounts of both, seemingly going in all different directions..its almost like a maze for the eyes! the eyes are unsure which way to look, its an amazing effect you pulled off here. even the central circular dome, if you look long enough at it, it seems to move!
excellent compo, excellent graphism
PS
i also like your previous post, it looks like the scene was shot in 1890, has a real old time atmosphere to it!
have a great one!

Magnifique image de cette galerie au fort pouvoir graphique. Tu aurais peut-ętre pu légčrement couper la partie droite de l'image pour diminuer le "coup de soleil" et parfaire la symétrie?

Hi Lisa
Seasons greetings and have a great New Year. This spectacular. I'm amazed at similar complexes in Europe with the covered arcades created around old buildings.

Slight turn of the camera and the graphic appearance of this view is quite different. Beautiful piece of architecture. That glass roof fits well with classic buildings.

Beautiful image composed graphically attracts me strongly. It's really remarkable that lines of metal ribs of the glass dome are accurately rendered without jagged lines.

Very good upward depth ( like DOF looking up...), Lisa.
Clear details, a bit of backlight - but altogether a perfect dimensional inclusive.
Happy New Year 2011,
