Hi Lisa,
There seems to be more and more architecture cropping up in your pictures these days. I really like your point of view here, the positioning of the statue on the right with space to the left is just right and your inclusion of Vesuvius in the background is great too. Great warm light and well composed. TFS

Hello Lisa,
You had a very impressive light to capture this dynamic statue. The shot is well framed and has good colours and clarity. I like the details to be observed in the statue and the columns.

Ciao Lisuzza,
uno scenario fantastico quello che ci proponi oggi, la storia e sullo sfondo il grande vecchio che dorme (il Vesuvio... mi pare).
Una composizione e una qualità eccellente, GRANDE LISA !!!!

Hello Lisa,
Some say when walk in Pompei, you can feel the ashs and atmo. is like a disaster yet to come...
I never been there, for some stupid reason went strait to Sorento... and I see your image here - and feel the miss.
Good premeditated pov when afternoon light was on the statue, and the Vesuvius stand prominant on background as a reminder...A nice shot.

Dearest one,
Beautiful light, it looks so soft, especially on your main subject, the statue.
Composition wise it is pretty good, except I wish you'd put some air around the column on camera left or cropped it so there isn't that small bit of sky creeping in towards the top of the column. Camera right crop works perfectly.
Nice touch having Vesuvius in the back ground.
Lurve ya work.

Hi Lisa,
beautiful composition. I like the statue in the foreground and the classical architecture as opposed to spectacular nature in the back. The low light with some subtle residual sun rays creates a great atmosphere.
Very well done!
Happy New Year again!

Howdy Lisa,
Interesting positioning, leading the eyes down the pathway rather than showing the columns head-on, and the golden low lighting to enhance the darkness.
Good job, cheers,

mi piace molto la scelta del POV che mette in contrasto la bellezza della statua con quella del Vesuvio. Molto bella la luce sul colonnato, eccellente la qualità.

Hi Lisa,
A real "masterpiece" ! Wonderfull sidelight and the famous Vesuvius at the background, as the main "responsible" of the catastrophe 2000 years ago !
The statue at front has the pose as if he tries to escape..
Perfect entry
TFS and best regards

Hi Lisa,
That place is so full of history...
You make a good connection between that statue and Vesuvius. As he would try to fight bact the force of the volcano. Very nice light on those columns.
Happy New Year!

A prescindere la "brutta" autostrada ..Pompei è bella per il suo essere emblematica ed unica .
Astraendo i pensieri ...e (Santorini,ma .."Guai a te, Corazin! Guai a te, Betsàida.

Hi Lisa,
Some beautiful photos you posted here. On this one fantastic light of sunset. Beautiful statue of Apollo and the columns of the temple. It is a pity there is this fence but on the other hand we have impressive view of Mount Vesuvius. I was in Pompei but it was so long time ago.
Have a nice day

Hi Lisa.
I was curious to see in your gallery, this magnificent frame, the right ... because "ikeharel" told me today a photo of this place I also I have in my gallery and commented on the similarity, so I was curious.
Certainly this composition with the golden light of dusk and Vesuvius in the background is very beautiful.
Best regards.
Luis.

Hello Lisa and happy new year (a forthnight late, I know... :-( ).
A very nice photo with very good light and ideal cadre that renders the subject so expressive! Apart from that I like the merging of the natural and the man-made. Furthermore,it is somehow so artistic and tragic to present this subject with reminder of the "doom" that awaits all mortals and even civilization and art with the presence of Vezuvius.
Best regards
Vangelis
