Hello Roger,
You use the tower and the vertical lines of the other buildings very nicely for this bookmark. The gondola is the necessary and inevitable foreground for a picture like this from Venice. The red tarpaulin is indeed a fine bonus effect, the dark sky is another.

a real good motive for a bookmark-capture here, like a lot the chosen format, as you now, i´m a great fan of it too..

Bonsoir Roger,

La gondole envoie mon regard vers le pont et ensuite vers la tour ce qui donne de la profondeur ŕ la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs de l,architecture de la tour. Le ciel gris donne un bon contraste aux couleurs. Bonne soirée.

Hi Roger,
The vertical format works very good here, to include the church tower and the gondola. One can indeed see the assymmetry of the gondola here, the "gondoliere" can row on one side and the gondola flows along a straight line. A beautiful and very interesting picture!

La composition magnifique et un superbe choix signet ce format. Bellisima scčne de la télécabine au premier plan, le pont sur le canal et la grosse cloche.
La couleur est fantastique, ainsi que la bonne lumičre et la netteté, le bon choix ce contexte qui met en valeur cette grande uvre. Félicitations.

Bonsoir Roger,
Format marque pages certes mais on a quand męme un résumé de Venise ! La gondole, le pont, les façades colorées, le clocher, que demander de plus ? Le cadrage est trčs réussi, le fait que la gondole soit de biais par rapport ŕ l'axe du canal donne un peu de mouvement. Un joli ciel gris qui te donne une belle luminosité sur les façades.

I'm a bookworm, so I must like it ;-) Usually such radical cropping is used when one fails to compose acceptable frame of popular proportions, but here it all makes sense. The essence of Venice, I'd love to visit this beautiful city again...

Another splendid vertical masterpiece as you have tightly cropped the canal which creates greant depth as we look at the bridge and beyond.

wow,
this would be a perfect bookmark/postcard/presentation from Venice.
The best I could imagine.
Not only you have the couple enjoying the gondola tour in the foreground but also a nice bride, well filling out the space and a splendid architecture. with a tower which is also less known but equally attractive as other marvels of Venetian architecture.
I like the processing, very appropriate, stressing out the details with perfect sharpness. The dark sky contributed to a amazing atmosphere.

You have remarkably caught some of the essential elements of Venice in this vertical picture. The position of the gondola and the gondolier is just perfect with the bridge framing this little canal scene. The tower and the buildings in the BG are just perfect for this 'bookmark'. Very well done.

Magnifique marque-page avec autant d'ingrédients typiquement vénitien!
Ce serait vraiment un succčs en librairie.
Les couleurs dans la gondole et des façades sont trčs belles et elles contrastent fortement avec l'eau sombre et le ciel nuageux.
