Spoleto, a town since prehistoric times, an important center of Umbria, large Roman municipality, capital of a vast and powerful Lombard duchy, proud city hall who dared to challenge the Emperor Frederick Barbarossa, "caput Umbriae" during the Papal State, the capital of the department of Clitunno first and then the Trasimeno during the French domination, a city rich in history and art, but also full of delicious nooks like this, a quiet and romantic Spoleto, where the silence is the house, come and get lost in the narrow streets of my beautiful city .

J'aime bien l'effet de compression de cette composition.Męme si l'ensemble semble pencher un peu sur la gauche,la lumičre est belle et les textures bien exploitées.

Hello Silvio,
A fine point of view over these attractive old houses with their beautiful stone walls. I like very much the lights and textures. The greenery on the left is a plus contrasting nicely with the grey stonework.

A good high viewpoint for showing this tightly built old town. Every building seems to be on different direction. Flowers on that staircase are lovey details.

Great detailed capture of the town. Great composition framing the house in the centre so nicely by the trees and differently shapes houses. Fine and well managed light too.

fantastiche quelle due scale sulla facciata, quella inferiore ha una arco molto originale, mentre quella superiore č un vero gioiello colorato.
La pianta di questa casa deve essere piuttosto curiosa per i tempi di oggi.

What a delightful photograph and accompanied by notes that reinforce the quirky nature of the arrangement of these old houses. These are the sort of places I love to explore, off the beaten track and with so much history; if only buildings could speak!!!
Ike is right the town seems to have a labyrinth arrangement, so different from modern regimented planning!
You show us tall pastel coloured houses, wonderful textures, pretty flower arrangements, all packed tightly together, like supportive friends.

Hello Silvio,a maze of narrow streets and alley ways I guess? The buildings are so close together!
I really like the different shapes and angles, and such a variety of textures.
Those touches of green vegetation complete the scene.

A quite astonishing sight I can only admire of a very unique location in such compact dwelling, seemingly very tight place. The perspective and compo, colors and definition are spot on and touch of green is a real bonus. A very medieval look well shot, Congrats
