Lobelisco di Ostuni č dedicato proprio al Santo patrono della cittŕ: S. Oronzo che risparmiň gli ostunesi dalla peste del 1740. La colonna (o guglia) di Sant'Oronzo (20,75m di altezza) si erige nella Piazza della Libertŕ.
Nella prima metŕ dell'Ottocento, a seguito dei lavori di livellamento stradale, il primo basamento della colonna venne interrato.

Ciao Carlo,ovviamente a me interessa di piu' la pubblicita' della pizzeria..ehehe..un modo molto originale e simpatico per mostrarci questo capolavoro,un po' kitch come del resto spesso possiamo vedere la sud,cattura perfetta,non era facile. Buonanotte e complimenti,Luciano

You have shown us immense contrasts in your photograph.
In the f/g we see a modern vehicle acting as an advert for the nearby restaurant, whilst the b/g reveals features and buildings of much greater age!
The vehicle is in shadow, the historical part in full sun.
I wonder which part is being advocated!!!

Hello Carlo,
It's a well exposed photo that shows the details of the sunny and the shady area equally well. I like the contrasts of high and low, history and daily life as shown by the magnificent monument and the simple scooter taxi.

Very good composition. The blue three-wheeler, which might have been annoying in other circumstances, is an integral part of the scene. Good management of the rather difficult light contrasts with fine colours and clarity.

J'aime beaucoup la construction de cette image. J'aime le triporteur ŕ l'avant plan qui donne de la vie ŕ ce paysage urbain. L'obélisque est grandiose.

A multi-subjects photo, Carlo, well combined.
The typical Italian 3 wheels scooter in beautiful blue and in contrast the imposing tall statue with a religious theme.
Light and shadows cast also in different parts of the picture, marvelously rendered.

A splendid combination of a beautiful white town, a huge ornate obelisk and a very pretty element of the daily tourist life in the form of the blue tricycle.
The light was very strong on that time of the day.

Looks like a Thai samlor three wheeler or tuk tuk! The bishop atop the obelisk seems to be surveying the city. Good sharpness and punchy light contrasts. Tfs!
