Photographer's Note

An extraordinary sunset seen from a roman terrace.

This is a old slide, reproduced with digital camera. In order to release I have used a completely manual Canon AT-1 and a objective MTO 1100 mmm. The exposure is taken alone on the sun, with various diaphragms of underexposure (not memory how many).

i agree with you it's actually extraordinary sunset.. red and black go well together.. and the buildings create nice shapes in front of the sun.. i think you're very lucky to see thim amazing sunset..

Hey Ludo,

Hmmm, an experiment. Perhaps it holds little artistic value, but I still like it, its minimalistic and it leaves some space for questions, like what is the structure on the bottom. Colorwise its very well composed. Red really does go hand in hand with black.

Immagine molto interessante, per l'effetto cromatico che dŕ, ed apprezzabile sotto il punto di vista della lavorazione. Potrebbe essere tranquillamente una immagine da appendere alla parete. Bravo, ottimo lavoro, se considerato proveniente da una Diapo.

fuori tema non direi , in fondo e' un modo diverso di vedere la citta',
e poi puoi affrontare diciamo qualsiasi tema basta che la nota riesca a descrivere il perche' e magari trovare una attinenza con lo scoprire il mondo .

An expression sub-realistic, but with a great idea in the composition. The stark contrast of red, stands out as an oil painting. Well done.

There is good potential here, first because with only two colors the contrast between them is stronger to the eye, scan is okay with lowlight areas showing acceptable noise level, the whole could be a bit sharper.
