Relics from a better past II, a photo from Cagliari, Sardegna

I want to continue with this theme of the salt evaporation ponds. I hope not to bore you (:-)
This building is the same as that one in my previous post Relics from a better past, but shot at a different hour and from a different POV.
I like this old buildings along the canals, the spot has an atmosphere of old times, when extracting the salt was a toil performed by the convicts. They worked 16 hours a day and many of them died here of dehydratation and fatigue.
And I like the presence of the water which gives its unique flavour to a barren environment.

Vorrei continuare con questo tema delle saline. Spero di non annoiarvi (:-).
Questo edifico č lo stesso di quello che si vede nella mia foto precedente Relics from a better past ma preso ad unora diversa e da un POV diverso.
Mi piacciono queste vecchie costruzioni lungo i canali, il luogo ha unatmosfera di altri tempi, quando lestrazione del sale era una fatica assegnata ai forzati. Lavoravano sotto il sole per 16 ore al giorno e molti di loro sono morti qui di disidratazione e sfinimento.
E mi piace la presenza dellacqua che conferisce a questo ambiente desolato il suo particolare sapore.

Hi Donato, a very interesting scenery, especially the well rusted still bridge. the hexagonal the wall is also highly interesting, how the builders of that old building still thought of giving it that design. Very onformative note, too. Thanks for sharing...ALex

The whole image has a old story to tell with that old building and the rusted bridge over the water! the history from the past!
the pov is just great especailly with the perfect lighting over the whole area!

Ma veniamo a noi stai (hai fatto) un bel lavoro sulle saline.
Concordo che gli edifici migliori andrebbero bonificati da pali, pilastri, tralicci, cartelli e ..
Un vero peccato.
Ma sono convinto che farai un bel lavoro come questo lo stesso.
Ricerca di prospettive nuove e molta profonditŕ.

what lovely light and color you have here! I love the way the rusted looking bridge goes in at an angle and that beautiful light coming in from the side. Very nice detail and reflections and I like the bit of foliage at the bottom left. Very, very nice! Many thanks and warm regards,

Un pov ben centrato, ne' dal basso ne' dall'alto e una luce particolarmente propizia. E' una buona idea questa del tema (per te le saline, per baddori/marcan44 le linee ferroviarie sarde).

Ciao Donato, complimenti per questo studio accurato che stai facendo per di piů scegliendo l'illuminazione piů adatta e affrontando dello stesso luogo diverse prospettive.
Mi piace l'esaltazione del color ruggine del ponte che salta il canale e che evidenzia la dismissione di questo impianto.
Per rovinarti la festa devo dire che trovo qualcosa di strano nel tono impastato sulla facciata dell'edificio o forse una mancanza di nitidezza.
Ma č una piccolezza che non invalida lo scatto.
Una buona settimana!

A proposito ci sentiamo per sabato?
Io sono libero. Si potrebbe combinare qualcosa anche con Bobo e Baddori.

Che dire piů di quanto giŕ detto. A me piace molto il tema. E le foto sono sempre interessanti. Come interessante č, astrattamente, guardare e saper guardare una stessa cosa da piů POV. Se l'acqua fosse un pň meno torbida.... D.

Uno bello esempio d'arichitettura industriale, uno bello utilizzo della luce con bei rifellsi nel canale. Gradisco molto il ponte che fa una bella diagonale con il suo bello coloro di vecchio metallo. Complimenti.

Hello Donato,
I like this perspective view. The rusty bridge, the colour of the water below it, the old building on the other side and the warm colour gamma, in general, make a wonderful impression of a very interesting image which sort of looks like a painting; the photo also seems to be rather emotional. Well, how often surroundings are so eloquent! And it's only up to us to "hear" and notice them.

a nice presentation of this old steel bridge with the building on the edge of it. Informative your note about the salt evaporating ponds,as the view of the rusty from disuse bridge, bringing in mind the good old times when it was in use and was served the passing by of the people over the canal.

very interesting presentation here. The processing emphasized the damaged surfaces of both the bridge and the building. They surely have a lot of history and therefore character.

More active in PF as I see!
Interesting picture with the lead-in created by the old rusty bridge. I also like the building in the BG & hence not sure whether I like the bridge cutting across. But overall, the picture exudes a nice charm.
