Metallic ballet, a photo from Rigas, Central

Photographer's Note

This is a view from the river Daugava, when you go from the harbour of Riga to the sea, you need to pass a lot of factory's.
I like very much passing by these cranes, always moving, every day, every hour, every minute, non-stop;
just a wonderfull, strange, metallic ballet.

De bien jolis monstres que l'on entend grincer jusqu'ici! Le ciel est peut-ętre un peu trop bleu ... mais cela ne se commande pas :-)
En tout cas il y a du mouvement !
Continue ŕ nous faire découvrir ces états baltes si peu connus.

Very original. there is a good contrast between the feel of the frame (delicate ballet) and those heavy monsterous machines.

Trčs original cette image, je regrette juste que ca semble pencher sur la droite, mais cela doit pouvoir se corriger facilement sous photoshop. L'exposition ne devait pas ętre facile en raison des forts écarts de luminosité sur les grues...

Great photo this one leaped out of your gallery when I was viewing it, such a great title for htis photo!

the cranes are all great in their poses! Its quite a funny shot and very original!

Only a few things that coudl improve it and thats the horizon isnt perfectly straight i.e. the left hand side has more water than the right. And there is a weird spot in the middle of the sky? I woudl have cropped that out.

Good original capture, : ) to follow!

I see it as giants robots performing the work of man. Very nice capture of what looks like an ndustrial area.

Hi Anne France, I tried to take a picture like such near a sea port. I was not able to do so because they don't let people to go near by. This picture has well shown what I'd like to see and I'd like to take.
A very well taken dynamics activities of the cranes. You are right, it looks that they were dancing. Well done and good imagination.
