Photographer's Note

Christ's Resurrection Church is probably the main Kaunas landmark. Located on a hill it's visible from most of the city center. It's construction started in 1934. It was almost completed in 1940. The Soviet regime confiscated the building and turned it into factory. After Lithuania regained independence in 1990 the church construction resumed. It was completed only in 2004. More info about the Resurrection Church can be found in the wikipedia article.

The photo was taken from about 1500 meters away, with lens zoomed to 200 mm (the longest I have). I also cropped the photo a lot.

This is my entry in Scavenger Hunt VIII "A religious building at night" category.
